This is the suggested option for the Saturday/Sunday, longer, club ride

With the current forecast for wet and windy weather on Sunday, there was a discussion on the WhatsApp group about having the option of a longer route for riding on Saturday.

If anyone wants to ride it on Sunday instead, let it be known on the WhatsApp group or Facebook if you want company

Here is the route nominated by the group. Cafe stop possible at Sweets or Avalon Marshes Centre

Currently the suggestion is to meet up at 8:30am and start both the shorter and longer rides at the same time. The routes diverge near River Bridge.

Here is a suggestion for a self-navigated route for this Sunday morning.

9am, outside Priory School.

With the Great Weston Ride taking place, there may not be many, if any, takers for this ride. If you are intending to turn out, then I'd suggest making it known on the WhatApp group or Facebook page, maybe there will be like minded souls to keep you company.

The stated route will cross the path of the GWR around the Wedmore area but is mostly separated.

There is the opportunity to choose your own café stop north of Westhay; The Avalon Marshes Centre, or Sweets.

The weather forecast looks pretty dire again this week.

As the Saturday morning rides are not supposed to be 'hard core' there will not be a club group ride posted this week.

There is an outside chance the forecast might change in the next couple of days. If the forecast dries up and it looks like a 'goer' then there may be a last minute ride posted - but I wouldn't get your hopes up!

If anyone is absolutely determined to go out regardless, let the Secretary know and a route suggestion could be posted.
