Here is the proposed route for this week. It is forecast to be a bit breezy on the way out, but we should enjoy the tailwind on the return leg.

Shipham hill is the main feature of this weeks ride. Good news is the current forecast says nice and warm with a gentle breeze (……but maybe bring along a rain jacket - Rule 5 applies )
See you outside Priory School at 19:00

Start the year as you mean to go on. Dave H has suggested this ride up the Gorge and onto Sweets, then a flat route home.

As a special treat for Christmas I thought we might extend our usual Saturday club ride down towards Westhay and "Sweets Tea Rooms" this week.
It will add an extra twelve miles onto the usual Saturday route length, but include a coffee stop at Sweets, with a complimentary mince pie with purchased drinks. We'd be aiming to get to Sweets around 10am when they open, so no point in rushing to get their early. The Met Office is promising a bonus tailwind on the return leg.
As no one told me it was a ridiculous idea on Facebook or via this page, we might as well give it a go.
Feel free to give any Christmas jersey you may have an airing. Tinsel and fairy lights encouraged, but not compulsory.
N.B. If you don't mind potentially riding back on your own and think the extra mileage and/or coffee stop eats into your day too much, there's the option of turning back at Mark for anyone not tempted by free mince pies.
Meet up, as usual, outside Priory School, at 8:30am.

There was a decent turn out for last weeks easy route and 19:00 start. So we thought try the same formula again this week. It’s the last Wednesday Ride of the year, so why not come along and keep your legs turning on the run up to Christmas.
See you outside Priory School at 7pm.
