Sunday Club Ride: 1st March 2020

A nice easy route to Sweets this week. The plan is to tempt people out of hibernation, on this, the first day of the meteorological Spring. See you outside Priory at 09:00. ( Apologies for the late posting ).

Wednesday Evening Ride: 26th February 2020

The forecast looks pretty good this Wednesday. So, if you’re suffering from a bit of cabin fever following a couple of stormy weekends, why not put your lights on charge and come along for a midweek ride? Don’t worry if you haven’t been out for a while, it’s a nice easy route this week.

Sunday Club Ride: 23rd February 2020

With just a week to go before the end of the meteorological winter, opportunities to bag some “summer smile” giving “winter miles” are fast running out. If your winter mile count isn’t where you’d like it to be, take action now. Dig out your gloves and overboots, and join us for this Sundays ride out to Farrington Gurney. I can’t promise you a named storm – but we should be good for a bit of ordinary drizzle. See you outside Priory at 09:00.

Wednesday Evening Ride: 12th February 2020

Looks like this Wednesday will be the calm between two storms. So, why not take advantage of this window of opportunity, and join us for a midweek ride.

This week’s route is an old club favourite, the “Rob Special”. It’s pretty flat, but you can make it flatter still by dodging the Brent Knoll climb ( carry on around the knoll and meet the ride coming back ) and the toll road.

Wednesday Evening Club Ride: 5th February 2020

Once again conditions are looking pretty good for the Wednesday ride. Dry and virtually windless, say the Beeb. Add in a couple of good drying days before hand, and you've got yourself all the ingredients for a nice ride around. So, why not get those lights on charge and treat yourself to a midweek ride.

Wednesday Evening Club Ride: 29th January 2020

The weather’s looking decent for Wednesday evening once again. “Low cloud with a gentle breeze” and only a “low chance of precipitation” according to the BBC. It's another “easy pedalling” route this week, to see January out.

****Start time this week, by popular request, is back to 18:00 - see you outside Priory School*****

Wednesday Evening Club Ride: 22nd January 2020

Last week the cycling Gods granted us good weather for the Wednesday ride. This week, following the sacrifice of a number of small animals, it looks like they’re smiling on us again.

Dry, 8 degrees and just 7 mph of wind - January riding seldom gets better.
Last weeks flat route tempted people out, so I thought I’d try the same trick this week with a figure of eight Yatton route.

A 19:00 start again this week to give people time to get home and miss the commute traffic.

Wednesday Evening Club Ride: 15th January 2020

Wednesday evening is currently looking relatively warm, dry and not too windy. So I thought we’d try this easy peddling route ( which should avoided too much crap and standing water ) and see who we can tempt out.

A 19:00 start once more to miss the tail end of the commute traffic and give everyone time to get sorted. See you outside Priory School.

Shipham hill is the main feature of this weeks ride. Good news is the current forecast says nice and warm with a gentle breeze (……but maybe bring along a rain jacket - Rule 5 applies )
