Wheelers Launch the Grand Pier Ride!

Today the Wheelers launched the new Grand Pier 10 mile ride which is open to all cyclists. If you fancy club riding then this is a great way to start and join in the fun! The new ride from Priory School to the Grand Pier then forms the main sunday club run. Today the ride took us past the queue for Dismaland up Bleadon Hill down to Lympsham then on and over Brent Knoll. A nice flat ride through Mark and Wedmore and on to Cheddar. This time we tackled the Shipham Hill climb and the Longbottom climb over the Mendips and down Burrington Coombe. From there we had a steady ride back via Wrington and ST Georges. A good 55 miles of riding and 2300ft of climbing. A big thanks to Ben, luke, Daniel, Paul, Mike, Andrew, Merion, Greg, Andy, Chris and a warm welcome to Simon and Wayne.
Total distance: 58.22 mi
Max elevation: 1140 ft
Min elevation: 222 ft
