Here's a route to kick off 2022 and our Saturday morning rides.

Just an opportunity to get a bit of fresh air after Christmas. No cafe stop, as I doubt any will be open. There is the potential for dampness over the next few days, so the route should miss the worst of any muddy stretches.

It may not surprise anyone that there will not be the usual Saturday morning club ride this week; with all the present opening and drinking possibly going on. Additionally, the weather for Saturday is currently looking pretty dire.
There is, however, an intention to have a club ride on the Sunday, 26th of December.
The ride will probably be a shorter route, as a café stop is probably out of the question.
A mailshot has just been sent out, inviting the membership to renew their membership subscription.

It is worth mentioning that there are a lot of active road works at the moment, so there is an outside chance of a detour. Also, there are a lot of muddy roads around - often in places you might not expect.
N.B. The intention is to have a club ride on the 26th of December (weather dependent), but possibly shorter than usual, for anyone interested in burning up some of the potential excess calories from Christmas day, but wanting to be home for lunchtime; probably without a café stop.
