Pauls Cheddar Cake Run

A gusty but great club ride today designed by our very own Routemaster Paul Stone. Riding out of Weston through Wick St Lawrence, Puxton, and Sandford the ride was pretty level. Then the fun started first up Butcombe Hill and then the Harptree Climb reaching 22% gradient! The back wheel was certainly spinning on that one. Once up and over Priddy it was a fast Cheddar Gorge descent followed by a Tea and cake stop at the bottom or the Gorge. Heading home via Axbridge and Banwell the rain came down but didnt dampen our spirits on another great Wheelers ride. We totaled  48 miles averaging 14mph and climbing 2500 ft. A big thanks go to Paul, Ben, Pete Ian and Pete. See you all next week!
