Wednesday Evening Ride: 1st June 2022

After a couple of easier weeks, I’ve been inundated with requests for something a bit tastier ( honest! ). So this weeks route includes a feature climb: Nash Hill!!

Actually, it’s not that bad – a bit steep, but not for long, and the rest of the route is pretty flat.

It’s an open ride, which means everyone's welcome to come along – so hopefully see you outside Priory school at 18:00

    Hi Dave

Would it be alright to come along tomorrow? I’ve not been out with you guys before but recently getting back into it and did a very similar route on the weekend without the hill. Can’t remember the last time I did a hill like that tbf so it’ll deffo be a challenge for me and I’ll be pretty slow for that stage of the ride I can imagine but happy to give it a try if you don’t mind!! Gotta earn the bank holiday drinks somehow right..!

    Just lemme know thanks!

      Hi Dan
You’re very welcome to come along tomorrow. Sounds like you’ll be fine with the distance. Speed wise we’ve been averaging about 14-14.5 mph over the past few weeks – so not a tear up by any means. I wouldn’t worry about the hill too much. It’s not that long and we always stop to regroup at the top. Just for info: Saturdays are an easier ride, the routes tend to avoid hills and there’s no minimum speed expectations. Cool thanks Dave,
I averaged 16 according to Strava on the weekend so probs works out manageable with the hill included! Just not fully aware of my own ability since its been so long, but good to hear about the regroup just in case! Thanks, yeah Saturdays might be a good idea too if I have the time. Will join the group now too 🙂
