The Battle of Burrington Coombe

This weeks ride was a game of two halves. First halve being very wet and very windy the second half just wet and windy. The route took us out through Banwell and up Burrington Coombe against 40 mph winds and driving rain. Next it was over Charterhouse and down into Cheddar taking it steady around the tight bends. As we approached Axbridge the wind and rain eased off slightly just in time for Jonathon's pedal to come off. Once pedals were safely secured we navigated the Webbington and Loxton and on to the short and steep Brent knoll climb. The last leg was heads down through Lympsham and on to Weston where we were met with Glorious sunshine! This week we cycled 42 miles averaging 13.5 mph climbing 1900 ft. A big thanks to Ben,  Jonathon and Pete. See you all next week.
